Another post so soon, I bet you can’t believe this!

Well a few people have commented on the “impossible” box from my previous post. They really aren’t that hard to make as long as you follow the instructions.

I thought it would be really easy to measure out and design a template that I could just print onto the back of my cardstock, but that doesn’t work as you can see both sides of the cardstock and whichever way I did it you could still see the printed lines. So the template is just a guide to show you what your box should look like before you stick it together.

Impossible Box Instructions

I just had a look on Splitcoast Stampers as well and there is now a tutorial on there, but they call it an “All-in-One” box, there is a video as well to give you some idea of how it goes together. Click here to check out that link.

Oh well, have fun with these boxes, they are fabulous.

***************************************************************

What is ESAD? ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

You may have arrived here from Christie Kunkel’s blog, or you may be starting your hop here, either way just follow the links around the sites to see some amazing projects, or if you get lost the links to all the sites are at the bottom of this post. Don’t forget to leave comments on the blogs as you travel around.

The first project I have for you is an “impossible” box. I hadn’t made one of these for ages and thought this paper would be perfect for it. Why is this called an “impossible” box, because the box and the lid are all in one piece – magic! (and impossible to lose the lid……lol! Perfect for some yummy chocolates.

I have used Soft Suede cardstock and the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper which is one of the items available to you for free when you spend $100 on any Stampin’ Up! products. I have also used some of the Everyday Enchantment Lucky Limeade ribbon (the ribbon and brad pack are another selection from the Sale-a-bration catalogue). This ribbon is wonderfully sparkly which I hope shows up in the pictures.

Next up I have a series of cards using the bargello technique with the fabulous Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess stamp set. I am loving this paper more and more every time I use it. It has a wonderful vintage, shabby chic feel to it and such wonderful colours.

Any way the first card uses strips of this paper staggered across the card (bargello technique) and the sentiment has been punched out using the large and extra large tag punches. It has been attached to the card with the Calypso Coral ribbon. The cardstock used is Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla.

The second card I have used a chevron bargello technique along with the Lucky Limeade ribbon and a selection of the brads from the ribbon and brad pack. The cardstock colours are Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla.

The next card I have die cut the bargello panel using the top note die and layered this on another top note cut from Peach Parfait cardstock. The base card is Lucky Limeade and the background Very Vanilla.

For the last card I have just attached strips of the Everyday Enchantment DSP to a strip of scrap card before attaching it to the Very Vanilla background. This is an excellent way to use up tiny scraps of your favourite papers. These strips are all the same width but varying widths would look great too. I have attached this to a Peach Parfait card and again used the Calypso Coral ribbon and a brad from the ribbon and brad pack.

Well I hope you enjoyed my projects and you are on your way now to Nicole Derendorf’s blog, enjoy.
Well here we are again for another fantastic ESAD Blog Hop. You will be amazed at the talent you will see on your blog tour from these wonderful Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

*********************************************

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

 *********************************************

You may have arrived here from Anne Gerlach’s blog, how good was that, or you may be starting your hop here, either way just follow the links around the 25 sites to see some amazing projects, or if you get lost the links to all the sites are at the bottom of this post. Don’t forget to leave comments on the blogs as you travel around.

The first project I have to show you today uses the Pretty Postage stamp set from page 20 of the Summer mini catalogue and it just happens to have two punches that co-ordinate with it (how good is that)! And you might just notice a new die. The Candy Wrapper die is on page 13 of the catalogue (and isn’t that just so cute)!

I have used Baja Breeze and Whisper White cardstock to make two very simple but super cards and a little gift box. I stamped the Happy Birthday image in Baja Breeze for the background and then used the Pumpkin Pie, Real Read and Baja Breeze markers to colour the main image. I then punched the image out using the new 1″ Square Punch and then layering this onto the Postage Stamp punched out of Baja Breeze. I have embellished the cards with Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon and also used the Scallop Trim border punch.

This second project is a Secret Box made using the Stylish Star à la carte stamp (single stamp) from page 23 of the Summer mini catalogue. I have used Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock to make the box and the Neutrals Pattern Stack designer paper to embellish it. I also use the 2⅜” Scallop Circle punch and Circles #2 die. Inks used were Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.

Well I hope you liked this little peek at the goodies in the new mini catalogue. You are now on your way to Richelle Fletcher’s blog and more fantastic projects.

I have so much to show you all! I have been very busy with a wonderful catalogue launch but more of that later.

First of all I have an entry for this week’s JAI challenge.

My friend Leigh called me over the weekend and challenged me to ‘enter a challenge’ – what was I to do? So here it is. The challenge was to use white and one other colour. I have used Melon Mambo and white to make this cute little bonnet trinket box.

This was one of the projects the ladies made at the catalogue launch last weekend and they all loved it. So never throw away your empty embellishment boxes. I have also used one of the doilies from the fabulous new Flirtatious Designer Paper pack – I love it.

I originally saw this idea at a camp I went to run by the wonderful Kim Gavarra, thanks Kim.

I promise to get on and post the rest of the projects we made at the catalogue launch in the next few days.

Cough, cough, splutter, splutter!

Oh my goodness someone turn on a light I can’t see a thing in here, can you believe all the dust? No-one’s been here for months!

I can’t believe it is 9 months since I last posted on my poor blog! I imagine any readers or followers I did have will have given up or moved away by now – I am sooooooo sorry.

What’s even worse is that I don’t really have a good excuse although I could make some up (tee hee). Life just got in the way of other things and my blog got pushed to the bottom of the pile. Well I have upended the pile and starting from the botton – here I am.

I must have so much to show you but before I do that I must first check that there is anyone still popping in here from time to time.

So please leave me a comment to let me know that you are still there and I promise I will post some cards and other things that I have been up to in the last months that may be of interest.

I know! I’m addicted!! To Blog Hops that is (and a few other things like chocolate and champagne that I don’t like to admit to so we won’t go there). Anyway I’m sure you’re ready for another ESAD Christmas Blog Hop!

This one isn’t quite as long as some in the past but it’s quality not quantity – right!

********************

So what is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up!

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

********************

So I’d better stop blabbering on and show you what I’ve got for you. You will have arrived here from the lovely Julie Fettes’ blog, what a great project.

I love Christmas but growing up in England I used to love the cold, frost and snow and even now, after living in South Africa and Australia for the past 30 years I still cannot quite get used to having Christmas in the heat of summer. It is just so different.

Today I have a little advent calendar to show you. This looks very effective but is so easy to make you won’t believe it. You will need 25 match boxes (throw the matches away or have a little bonfire like I did) and then glue them together as shown. 4 for the base, 8 for the first layer of the tree, 6 for the second layer, 4 for the third layer and 3 for the top. Then cover each of these layers in the beautiful Jolly Holiday Designer Deries Papers, wrapping the paper around the whole block. Then stick these blocks together to form your tree.

For the little drawers, I have covered the front and sides of the boxes with more Jolly Holiday DSP and then added one of the Designer Brads to the front with a number on it.

These brads are just fabulous when you need something special. I must admit I cheated a bit and printed the numbers on the computer before punching them out with the ½” punch and mounting them on the brads.

To finish off I tied a strip of the 1¼” Striped Grosgrain ribbon in Old Olive around the tree and finished off with a bow on the top.

You can put all sorts of little goodies in the boxes, lollies, chocolates, hair clips or small toys, even jewellery for the grown ups!!!

I have then stamped the “do not open” stamp from the Winter Post stamp set, colouring it with my Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler markers and then stamped and punched a few tags and decorations using the Delightful Decorations stamp set and co-ordinating Ornament punch which makes it all so easy.

I hope you enjoyed this little project and if you have any questions feel free to email me janenorrish@optusnet.com.au . I would also love to read your comments so please feel free to leave some.

Wow, it seems that all that I post on this blog these days is blog hops! It’s just that I love them and I belong to a wonderful group of Australian and New Zealand demonstrators who just love getting together online and showcasing the wonderful Stampin’ Up! products that we sell.

I do have an excuse for not blogging – I have been extrememly busy with our charity day, Stampin’ Up! a Storm which raised money for the Motor Neurone Disease Assoc of Queensland, and of course the launch of the wonderful new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue on 1 st September. I will have pictures and projects from both events to show you very soon.

I am off to Stampin’ Up! Regional Training in Brisbane today and can’t wait to catch up with all the other demonstrators for a fantastic day.

So enough blabbering from me, let’s get on with the Blog Hop.

Now as in all our recent blog hops there is Blog Candy.

To qualify ….

this is only open to customers (ie. demonstrators do not qualify)

to qualify you must visit every blog and leave a comment on each one

once you have commented on each blog you need to email Leonie Shroder at leonie@stamp-a-latte.com and advise her you have done so

Blog Candy winners will be announced very soon

********************

You will have arrived here from the wonderful Kim Conway’s blog, what fabulous projects.

********************

What I have to show you today is a little Christmas tea light lantern using the Fancy Favour Bigz XL die and the new Ornament punch.

I have stamped on the Old Olive cardstock using the swirl stamp from the Season of Joy stamp set in Old Olive ink and then punched out the four windows using the Ornament punch. This is a fantastic new punch and there are two stamp sets in the new catalogue that coordinate with it, Contempo Christmas and Delightful Decorations.

I have then lined the box with vellum paper which I have stamped in the windows using the Season of Joy stamp set and Old Olive ink. I have stamped the ornament from the Contempo Christmas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink (I think this is my new most favourite colour – until I find another new most favourite colour) on Very Vanilla cardstock, which I have then punched out using the Ornament punch – how easy is that!

I have popped a little battery tea light inside (if I used a real one I would burn the house down)! These are available from Target and are really neat, they flicker like a real flame and everything.

To complete the set I made a couple of cards and an ornament using the Contempo Christmas stamp set, the Ornament punch and the fabulous new Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper.

********************

I hope you enjoyed these projects. You are now on your way to Jacinta Argent’s blog – have fun! Don’t forget to leave me a comment and let Leonie know when you have commented on everyone’s blog – you don’t want to miss out on Blog Candy! Come back soon.

I hope you’re ready for the ESAD New Stampin’ Up! Catalogue Blog Hop! This could take a while as there are 25 blogs to check out so grab yourself a tea or coffee and sit back and enjoy the ride.

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand Demonstrators for Stampin’ Up!

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

Now just to put the cherry on the top so to speak, we are offering Blog Candy on this blog hop.

To qualify ….

* this is only open to customers (ie. demonstrators do not qualify)

* to qualify you must visit every blog and leave a comment on each one

* once you have commented on each blog you need to email Leonie Shroder at leonie@stamp-a-latte.com and advise her you have done so

* Blog Candy winners will be announced on Tuesday

********************

You will have arrived here from the wonderful Kim Conway’s blog, what fabulous projects.

********************

What I have to show you today are a couple of cards, a tag and a little tissue box using the fantastic new Newsprint Designer Series Paper (now available in the fantastic new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue). This paper has only two colours Basic Black and Very Vanilla and is great for the vintage look with a little tearing and distressing. I have also used the gorgeous new Artistic Etchings stamp set – yummy!

I love these tissue boxes, they are great as hostess gifts and very easy to make. I have stamped the crown in Riding Hood red as a contrast.

For these cards I have created the backgrounds using a technique called double embossing. This is a great technique and very easy but it gives such fantastic results. Cut a piece of the Newsprint Designer Series Paper to size for the front of your card. Then take your Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (also available in the fantastic new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue) and run over the inside top of the folder with your brayer and Versamark ink. Place your paper in the embossing folder and run through your Big Shot (see the fantastic new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue). Open up your folder, carefully remove your paper and sprinkle with block embossing powder over the Versamark. Heat with your heat gun to melt the powder and voila!

For this card I have used the new Scallop Trim Border punch and the Two-Step Bird punch. I have finished off with a sentiment from the Vintage Vogue stamp set and some Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon.

This card uses the same background as before but this time I have stamped the Eiffel Tower image from the Artistic Etchings stamp set and layered it on a panel which has been edged using the Scallop Trim Border punch and matching Scallop Trim Corner punch.

And finally I have a tag for you using all the ideas I used before.

********************

I hope you enjoyed these projects. You are now on your way to Pauline Bennett’s blog – have fun! Don’t forget to leave me a comment and let Leonie know when you have commented on everyone’s blog – you don’t want to miss out on Blog Candy!
